Heinrich Learning Resource Center

The Heinrich Learning Resource Center (HLRC) first opened its doors in the fall of the 2003-2004 school year. The center is a multi-function building enabling up to three classrooms, numerous individual students, and faculty members to engage in various educational and research tasks simultaneously. HLRC houses over 20,000 books, a variety of AV equipment, computers, periodicals, and a rotating student art display.

The HLRC Birthday Book Program is a great way to make a lasting impression at St. Johns Country Day School regardless of the student’s grade level. During the student’s birth month parents, grandparents or friends may recognize the student’s birthday by giving a book to the St. Johns library (with a minimum donation of $25.00). Though the books are acquired through the librarian, the donor may specify or request a certain book or type of book for purchase. Alternatively, the library staff will help the student select the book from a collection of new books available. A bookplate inscribed with the student’s name is placed inside the book, which then becomes available for checkout from the library’s permanent collection.
