The admissions process typically includes the following steps:
Inquiries are always welcome. Please call or send us an email to learn more about our school.
2. Campus visit
Attend an Open House or contact the Admissions Office to schedule a personal tour. This initial visit includes a campus tour and an overview of our curriculum and programs.
3. Application and related materials
You can download the application and related materials or, if you prefer, contact our office for copies. Complete and submit the following to the Admissions Office: Application Parent questionnaire, Teacher recommendation, Student transcript or report cards showing at least two years’ academic progress, if applicable. Application fee: $50 for Pre-K4 to Grade 12, $35.00 for Pre-K3. Please contact the Admissions Office if you have any questions or need additional information.
Children entering Pre-K3 must be three years old before September 1 and completely toilet trained. All Pre-K3 students will be tracked during the school year to ascertain their developmental readiness for Pre-K4.
Pre-K4 and Kindergarten applicants meet individually by appointment with one of our teachers or administrators. We utilize the Gesell Developmental Assessment Test and a classroom visit to evaluate readiness for our program. Applicants for Grades 1-4 are required to participate in an academic evaluation and interview administered at the school. The evaluation includes sections on reading comprehension, and verbal and math skills. The evaluation materials are prepared by St. Johns teachers to ensure the right match between an applicant and the school. Applicants for Grades 5-12 are required to take the ISEE (Independent School Entrance Exam). The ISEE is administered on the St. Johns campus on following dates:
