Sports Medicine Services at St. Johns Country Day school is provided by Preferred Physical Therapy. With offices in Orange Park, Fleming Island, and Oakleaf they currently cover 5 local high schools.
The Athletic Trainer assigned to St. Johns is Mary Slover. Mary earned her Bachelors of Science degree in Athletic Training and her Masters in Exercise Science and Health Promotion, both from California University of Pennsylvannia. She has also earned her certification as a Performance Enhancement Specialist though the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
Mary covers all varsity sporting events at St. Johns but is also available for injury evaluations for all students and staff Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 3:30-4:00 during the school year in the Athletic Training room located in the field house.
