They sponsor almost every PTL and school event. Robin finds time to help in a wide variety of roles and activities, ranging from coordinating the Lower School magazine sale, keeping the books for the Middle School baseball team, and arranging for students' meals prior to away games. One of the most remarkable things is that Robin has served as the Lower School coordinator for the PTL for several years, continuing to do so this year even though her boys have moved on to Middle School.

Dave is also a frequent presence on campus, flying in from Chicago to flip burgers for every cookout. And when he realized the school rented a grill each time, he donated a grill to the school, insisting that it be painted Spartan blue before it was delivered to campus.

What motivates their generosity? "We do it because we love this school!"

Dave and Robin are the parents of Matthew, a St. Johns eighth grader, and Mitch, a sixth grader.
