Members of Team Japan put their heads together, hustled around campus and were first to the finish line to win gold at this year's Back to School Scavenger Hunt. After savoring their sweet victory, Team Japan team cooled down with the other 19 teams by enjoying tastes of another kind at the celebratory Ice Cream Party.

This year's incarnation of the Back to School Scavenger Hunt featured an Olympic theme, with Headmaster Ellison lighting the official torch and declaring the school year open.

Each of the twenty participating teams picked a country out of a hat, decorated their country's flag and attempted to solve clues before being set free on campus to track down an Olympic ring for their country's flag. Team Japan, the first team to return with their ring, won the gold (gold-wrapped candy). Members of the winning team were adorned with hand-crafted gold medals at the Ice Cream Party/Medal Ceremony.
