Posted: July 7, 2011

We are so pleased to announce the successful completion of the Reaching New Heights capital campaign!
Thank you to everyone who participated in the campaign and supported the school’s efforts to transform the St. Johns campus.

More than 490 individuals and families, consisting of current and former parents, grandparents, alumni, faculty and staff, and friends of the school, made a gift to help put us over the top. And the results are in – we have exceeded the $3 million campaign goal!

The Reaching New Heights capital campaign has been a huge SUCCESS for our school – students and teachers now enjoy wonderful new classrooms with all the latest technology. THANK YOU to everyone who has helped make this possible for the benefit of current and future St. Johns students.

Campaign co-chair Nancy Brown said, “The Reaching New Heights campaign enjoyed incredible support from so many people. We thank everyone, not only for their financial commitment, but for their energy and enthusiasm in helping us reach this important milestone for St. Johns.” Mrs. Brown noted that many members of the St. Johns family stepped forward to assist the campaign in a variety of ways – serving as parent ambassadors, hosting receptions, producing campaign materials, and encouraging family and friends to support the campaign – and showing in a very tangible way “their love for St. Johns.”

Mrs. Brown’s excitement was echoed by Robert Liguori, President of the school’s Board of Trustees, “This campaign was vitally important to St. Johns. Through the generosity of so many people we have been able to address many of the campus’s needs that were identified through the Campus Master Plan process. The Campus Master Plan and the Reaching New Heights campaign were really dedicated to the education of current and future St. Johns students who expect, and are entitled to, the same high quality that St. Johns has provided to prior generations.” Mr. Liguori acknowledged former Board President Michele Agee for her vision, particularly in developing the Campus Master Plan which set a framework for the future. He also expressed his appreciation to Campaign Co-Chairs Nancy Brown, Richard Brooke, Kim Ramey and Dr. Charles Stankard, and Director of Advancement Amy Weaver, all for their leadership and dedication during the three-year campaign.
