Dear St. Johns Family,
I wanted to let you all know that at the end of this school year-- my 29th at St. Johns-- I will be retiring. It's bittersweet for me, as I have truly loved my many years here at our school and I know I will miss it, and miss being here every day.
I want to take this opportunity to express my gratitude for the privilege and honor of helping to nurture and educate your children. It has been a wonderful 29 years and, as I have said many times, I have had the best job in the world.
The educators, administrators, and staff at St. Johns are second to none and are exceptional to work with. I thank all of you for your support and friendship throughout the years.
Although I will no longer be the Head of Lower School, I will always be a part of the St. Johns family. I look forward to being a St. Johns' grandparent and attending ball games, choral presentations, St. Johns on Broadway and Grandparents Day for years to come.
Thank you and God Bless,
Mary Helen Cauthen
Head of Lower School
