Head of Lower School Announces Retirement

Head of Lower School Mary Helen Cauthen has announced that she will retire at the end of this school year. You can read her letter to the St. Johns community here or at sjcds.net/news.

College Field Trip

The college field trip to Tampa-area colleges and universities still has a few spots available and the deadline to register has been extended to this Thursday, September 28, 2017. Upper School students won't want to miss this fantastic opportunity to tour four unique colleges in the Tampa Bay area. Sign up today! Need more info? Conference Day is Coming!

Mark your calendar now for All School Conference Day on Tuesday, October 10, 2107. Faculty in Lower School, Middle School, and Upper School will be available throughout the day for parent-teacher conferences. This is a great opportunity to touch base with your student's teachers and for a "temperature check" on how the year is going. Lower School parents, please contact Ms. Evans to schedule appointments. For Middle and Upper School appointments, the scheduling link will be emailed to you soon.

Next PTL Meeting Wednesday, October 4

Looking for a way to get involved with St. Johns, to help out or be a part of your child's school experience? Come learn more about the Parent Teacher League (PTL) and opportunities to get involved with school. The PTL meets the first Wednesday of each month, from 8:15 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. in the Lower School Library. Mark your calendar and plan to join us for the next meeting on Wednesday, October 4, 2017!

Middle School Family Social

Do you have a student in Middle School? Please save the date for the Middle School Family Social on Thursday, October 5, 2017, from 3:30 - 7:30 p.m. Details will be coming soon. See you there!

Talent Show Signups Now Open

The Interact Club talent show, benefiting Rise Against Hunger, will take place on October 14 at 7:00 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center. Signups are currently open for faculty members and Middle and Upper School students. Please see Mrs. Velasco in U17 to sign up.

Spirit Store

September hours for the PTL Spirit Store follow:

Monday & Friday 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.
Wednesday 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Tuesday & Thursday 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

All proceeds from the Spirit Store sales support school supplies and activities.
