We are truly gratified by the broad base of support that St. Johns Country Day School has garnered from parents, grandparents, faculty and staff, alumni, and friends over the years.
There are many ways to support St. Johns Country Day School. Every gift is significant and will help us achieve our mission. Gifts may be unrestricted or designated to special funds or projects. The largest number of gifts to the school consist of cash contributions; however, other methods include gifts of securities, real estate, personal property, life insurance policies, charitable trusts, and bequests. If you have any questions or need additional information, please contact Amy Weaver, (904) 264-9572.
Donations of equipment, materials, or other valuable items for St. Johns’ classrooms, libraries, offices, or facilities are considered gifts in kind. Such donations are welcome, but acceptance of some items may be subject to usage and space constraints.
Some donors consider gifts of appreciated securities or real estate to show their support of the school and gain tax advantages at the same time.
Memorial and Honorarium Gifts
Donors may honor a relative, friend, faculty member, student, or alumnus through a special named or memorial gift to St. Johns Country Day School. Many varied opportunities exist to reflect the interests of the honoree or the donor.
Occasionally, prospective donors may offer a gift designated for a specific purpose or activity. St. Johns may accept such gifts if it believes the donation will further the school's mission and benefit the school's students.
Matching gifts can also help increase the impact of your donation. More than 550 American corporations match their employees’ charitable contributions. Matching gifts allow donors to double or triple their gift to St. Johns. After confirming that your employer is a matching gift corporation, obtain a matching gift form (usually from your company’s human resources office), fill it out, and submit the form to St. Johns along with your gift. St. Johns will then submit the form and other required documentation to the matching gift program.
