There’s a phrase we use quite frequently at St. Johns. It’s featured in our brochures, print advertisements and on this website. It is “Tradition of Excellence,” and we strive each day to reflect this ideology in our classrooms, playing fields and beyond.
But excellence comes at a price. And for nearly 60 years, St. Johns has relied upon the generous contributions of alumni, parents, grandparents and friends to maintain an institution that provides the highest standard of excellence in education.
As an independent school, St. Johns operates without financial support from local, state and federal governments. Tuition alone does not cover the full cost of each child’s education, and no independent school could charge the full cost without placing itself beyond the reach of all but a select few. Gifts to the school continues our tradition of excellence through the yearly improvement of our facilities and programs.
Historically, the main source of auxiliary income at St. Johns has been the Annual Fund. Each year, current and former parents, trustees, alumni, faculty, staff, grandparents, and friends are solicited by mail and by telephone. We encourage you to consider a gift to the school. Please know that every gift makes a difference in the life of St. Johns students.
