When your child enters St. Johns, you become a member of the "St. Johns Family."
Parents, grandparents, trustees, and alumni work together with the faculty and administration to contribute to the caring family atmosphere that makes St. Johns a unique environment.
The Parent Teacher League (PTL) is the official organization of the parents and instructional staff at St. Johns Country Day School. Its purpose is to support the school and its mission through communication, volunteer activities, and special events.
Every parent at St. Johns Country Day School is encouraged to participate in the life of his or her child. There are many opportunities for involvement. The PTL is pleased to sponsor a variety of social events, including LS Sock Hop, MS Social and the US Tailgate Party; provide refreshments to the school for Orientation and Open Houses; assist the admissions office by serving as parent ambassadors; honor our faculty with Faculty Appreciation Days; aid in the classroom with Art Enrichment; coordinate with the school on Grandparents' Day; help to keep our seniors safe with Project Graduation; and have school coordinators to keep our volunteers organized.
The PTL also presents Scholastic Book Fair, Spartan 5K Run, and the biennial Auction. We encourage school spirit by offering a variety of Spirit items for sale. At the end of the year, we host the Book Buyback Program and the Uniform Resale. All net proceeds are invested directly back into the school.
We hope you will find a place to help. Also, please find time to attend any of our meetings held the first Wednesday of each month at 8:30 am. Thank you for your support!
If you are interested in volunteering, please contact any PTL officer or commitee chair.
