Global Online Academy
St. Johns Country Day School is proud to be one of only two schools in Florida offering the Global Online Academy (GOA). GOA programs offer our students a way to pursue their passions, learn with peers from around the globe, and acquire and practice modern learning skills that will serve them well in college, career, and life.
St. Johns Country Day School offers courses through Global Online Academy (GOA), providing students the opportunity to work virtually alongside teachers and peers around the world while exploring specific areas of interest. The courses are added to the student's high school transcript and calculated into their GPA. However, the courses are electives and not counted toward core course requirements. St. Johns students have taken courses such as Personal Finance, Japanese and Medical Problem Solving.

“I have truly enjoyed GOA Medical Problem Solving I this semester. Through this course, I have been able to strengthen MPS competencies. The competencies I have excelled at the most were curating and creating content relevant to real-world issues. I received an "advanced" in this category, and it has shown me my strengths going forward. I have always been fascinated by the world around me and I am glad that my professor seemed to agree, I can do research that is relevant to real-world problems.” - Emma Schultz '23
“I think my GOA Personal Finance class did an excellent job in developing competencies. Entering the class, I had essentially no knowledge about personal finance. I feel that I can talk proficiently about investment strategies, fire, budgeting, credit cards, compounding interest, and many other terms. This course has given me a strong foundation in personal finance, as I will minor in finance in college. Conversations I had about personal finance with my peers have been compelling, and I appreciate input and other viewpoints to contrast against mine." - William Cooper '23
