Performing Arts Department and Lower School Welcome Caitlyn Fyfe

St. Johns is pleased to welcome Caitlyn Fyfe as the new Lower School music teacher.

Miss Fyfe is a native of Jacksonville and holds a bachelor's degree in music education from Jacksonville University.

"I cannot wait to inspire the love of music to every child in the Lower School," says Miss Fyfe "I am so excited to be in an environment where I will be encouraged to learn and grow every day!

To further this learning and growing, this summer she attended a certification course with the American Orff-Schulwerk Association, focused on bringing out the creative learner in every student with a student-centered, hands-on approach.

"I am so pleased to welcome Caitlyn to St. Johns," said Performing Arts Department Chair Brenda Scott. "Her background, talent, and enthusiasm will be tremendous assets to the Performing Arts Department and the Lower School, and we look forward to working with her."

Miss Fyfe has been singing in a choir since she was in Grade 6 and says that her love of singing is what inspired her to become a music teacher. She also enjoys scrapbooking and traveling. This summer alone she visited California, Georgia, South Carolina, and several locations in Florida.
