We hope you are enjoying your last few weeks of summer. Are your students among those that count down the days until the First Day of School, or those that dread the day? It seems like it's about 50/50. Whichever way your family tends, here are this week's news and announcements from St. Johns Country Day School:
New Faculty Profiles
We are pleased to welcome a number of new faculty members to St. Johns this month and will be featuring each of them in a short profile at sjcds.net/news. Last week we posted an article about new kindergarten teacher McCall Morgan '97 and Lower School music instructor Caitlyn Fyfe. Check out these stories and more at sjcds.net/news.
Grade 7 Trip Deadline
The deadline to submit forms for the Grade 7 trip was yesterday. If you haven't yet had the chance to submit your student's forms, please do so as soon as possible. Forms and more information are available on the My School App Middle School "Topics" page. To get there, after you log in to My School App, click on "Groups," and then "Middle School," and finally on the "Topics" tab. If you have any trouble or don't see the Middle School "Group," please reach out to My School App support staff Jeremy Potter, or, as always, just reply to this email.
Orientation Day for all students is Friday, August 11, 2017. Times vary by division. Schedules for Upper and Middle School students are posted in My School App, under the Topics tab on the division Group page. Parents of Lower School students received a schedule in the mail with their class schedule, books list, etc., in early July. If you have any questions or can't find your schedule, please contact your division assistant:
Lower School: Denise Evans
Middle School: Kim Kurnitsky
Upper School: Dana Goode
