Campus Update for Tuesday, November 14, 2017

Good afternoon, here are this week's news and announcements from St. Johns Country Day School:

Special Occasion Dress Friday

Just a reminder that Friday is Special Occasion Dress for students in Grade 1, Grade 8, and all of Upper School. These students will all be attending Senior Presentation, an annual rite of passage for our oldest Spartans!

Preview Night Nov. 29

If you have a student who will be in Grade 1, Grade 6, or Grade 9 next year, please mark your calendars for Preview Night, Wednesday, November 29, 2017. There will be breakout sessions featuring Q&A on each division, tables with more information about the arts, athletic opportunities, and more, and tours will be available. You won't want to miss this interactive opportunity to see what's ahead for your transitioning student! Child care is available and all are welcome!

Sign Up Now for Spring Break France Trip

The deadline to sign up for the Spring Break trip to France is coming soon! Upper School students who are interested in visiting Paris, our friends at Le Lycée Saint Ambroise in Chambéry, and much more, should see Mme Price by Friday, November 17, 2017 to sign up.

Florida Bright Futures Service Hours

It's time for seniors to begin turning in community service hours for Florida Bright Futures Scholarship consideration. Community service hours can be earned and turned in at any time prior to graduation, but turning them in early has distinct advantages, for example, seniors who qualify for an award after the first semester of their senior year can lock in their scholarships!

Information about the Florida Bright Futures award levels, qualifications, and benefits is available here. Please reach out to Mrs. Laird with any questions.
