St. Johns Welcomes New College Counselor
St. Johns Welcomes New College Counselor

St. Johns is pleased to welcome new College Counselor Sarah Beresik. Ms. Beresik started at St. Johns Country Day School on Monday, December 4 as the latest addition to our college counseling team.

Ms. Beresik joins us from her alma mater, Washington College, where she has been on the front lines of college admissions since 2012. She worked as an admissions counselor starting in 2015, recruiting applicants and evaluating nearly 400 applications annually. This gives her tremendous insight into what colleges are looking for in the applicants they accept—skills which will be an asset here at St. Johns.

Originally from the Jersey Shore, Ms. Beresik studied sociology and social welfare, graduating magna cum laude from Washington College, Chestertown, MD.

After relocating to Jacksonville, Ms. Beresik has just been approved for an apartment in Avondale, where she will reside with her cat, Sophia. Ms. Beresik is a "foodie" and would love restaurant recommendations, as well as ideas on where she can join a volleyball league.

"I'm beyond excited to join the St. Johns family," says Beresik, "and am looking forward to helping students find their home in a collegiate setting following graduation."

Welcome, Ms. Beresik!
