Five Spartans Represent St. Johns at Florida Music Conference
Five Spartans Represent St. Johns at Florida Music Conference

Five students represented St. Johns at the Florida Music Educators Association Conference, January 10-13, 2018,
in Tampa.

Kennedy Brown was selected for the Middle School Honor Band and Lizzie Stoeber was a member of the High School Honor Band. Students were selected based upon their musical achievements and director recommendation.

Students in the All-State Choruses earn membership through a rigorous process of testing on music theory, aural skills, sightsinging, vocal quality, and knowledge of the selected literature. Students with the highest scores throughout the state-- approximately 75 on each vocal part-- earn places in the choirs. Noelle Sanford performed in the Middle School Concert Chorus, and Melinda Peacock and Aaron Makar performed in the High School Concert Chorus. Rehearsals began on Thursday morning and culminated with concerts on Saturday afternoon.

Congratulations to each of these dedicated and talented musicians!
