Congratulations, Mr. St. Johns!

Thanks to everyone who came out to support Interact Club and American Cancer Society (ACS) at Mr. St. Johns on Saturday night! Our evening was a rousing success-- we had a lot of fun and raised $3,129.76 for ACS! 

Congratulations to our newly-crowned Mr. St. Johns, Max Monroe '21 (above, center) and to all the contestants who were such good sports (and so entertaining!) for this worthy cause. Winners include:

Fostering Thoughtful Wellbeing: Service

Please join us tomorrow night-- Wednesday, February 27th-- for the next installment of St. Johns speaker series, presented in collaboration with St. Vincent's Healthcare/Ascension. This month's talk will tie into our Character Foundation trait and will be on the topic of "Service, Lend a Hand to Help Someone," presented by Virginia Hall, St. Vincent's Vice President of Foundation and Community Engagement. We'll see you at 6:00 p.m. in the Pace Lecture Hall for this thoughtful presentation! 


Merit Scholarships Available 

Merit Scholarship applications are being accepted through this Thursday, February 28, 2019 for the 2019-2020 school year. Rising Grade 7 and 9 students who meet the eligibility requirements are encouraged to apply.


Miss St. Johns

Please join us on Saturday, March 2, 2019 in the Performing Arts Center for the annual Miss St. Johns pageant! All proceeds will benefit Best Buddies of Jacksonville. There will be raffle tickets for sale at the door, and audience members are invited to bring cash to put into the crowd favorite boxes as a vote for their favorite contestant. Spain & Italy Trip Meeting

There will be a meeting for all students going on the Spring Break Spain & Italy Trip and their parents on Monday, March 4, 2019, at 6:00 p.m. in the Pace Lecture Hall. We have lots of great and important info to share, so please don't miss it! 


Upcoming Open Houses

Do you have friends or neighbors who might be interested in learning more about a St. Johns education? Our next Open House will take place on Tuesday, March 5, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. to noon.

Class Photos Rescheduled

Class photos have been rescheduled for Wednesday, March 6, 2019. They'll be at the Chapel Oak (rain location in the Library) for all students from Pre-K3 through Grade 11. Students should have received order forms in homeroom and additional order forms are available in Division Offices. All students must be in dress code for the photos. St. Johns outerwear only. 


Spartan Boosters Meeting Next Wednesday

Please join us for the March meeting of the Spartan Boosters, a volunteer group dedicated to supporting our Spartan athletes. The meeting will take place on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. in the Library Conference Room. We'll see you there!

Prom Date Change

Due to potential conflict with several scheduled events, the 2019 Junior-Senior Prom has been moved to Saturday, March 30, 2019. Prom will still take place at River City Brewing Company, so-- same place, new date! Mark your calendars and students should stay tuned for ticket and other information. 


Commemorative Books 

Would you like to commemorate the people and events in your lives while also supporting the library? Honor a student’s birthday, celebrate their senior legacy, recognize a special person, or honor the memory of a loved one by making a donation of $25 or more to the Heinrich Learning Resource Center. Your donation will purchase a book of your selection, and a bookplate will be placed inside the book commemorating the occasion. We look forward to your participation!
