Spartans Celebrate National Library Week

Spartans in all divisions enjoyed contests, games, puzzles, and prizes during National Library Week, April 9-13, 2019. Librarian Ms. Amy Perry and Library Assistant Mrs. Jeni Jacobs hosted many fun activities for all students during the week, including the Pencil Contest, a Golden Ticket book clue game, and much more.

“The goal was really to get the students into and engaged with the library,” said Ms. Perry, “and to continue to demonstrate to them that books-- and the library-- are so much more than ‘dusty old volumes!’”

Congratulations to Jack Tolbert, winner of the Pencil Contest with 15 pencils balanced in 60 seconds, and Alexa Radford '21, who came the closest to guessing the total number of volumes in the library. Alexa guessed 24,423 and the actual number of volumes is 24,438. Congratulations, Jack and Alexa!
