Campus Update for Tuesday, June 4, 2019

afternoon! Here are this week's news and announcements from
St. Johns Country Day School:

Graduation 2019

Congratulations to each of the 56 members of the Class of 2019, which graduated Saturday night at Thrasher-Horne Center. The evening included special appearances from representatives of the United States Military Academy and United States Naval Academy, and student speeches by Kamy Loustau and Aaron Makar, among many other highlights. You can read more about it at sjcds.net/news!

In Case You Missed It

Last week at sjcds.net/news we published stories about each of the division awards assemblies, including a photo album from each one. Check out those stories and more "In the News!"

St. Johns Announces New Admissions Coordinator

St. Johns is pleased to announce the appointment of a new Admissions Coordinator, Rebecca Bianco. Mrs. Bianco holds an undergraduate degree in communication and a master's degree in education, both from the University of North Florida, and comes to St. Johns from Ft. Myers, where she has been serving as an Upper School English teacher.  Welcome, Mrs. Bianco!

Summer Reading & Math

Students in all divisions have reading and math assignments to accomplish over the summer. Information about these is now posted on each division's My School App page for your reference. Please note that, while highly recommended, summer assignments for Lower School students are optional.

New Apple Online Store

St. Johns is pleased to announce the availability of a new St. Johns Country Day School Apple Online Store, which will work to help our families procure needed technology devices quickly, easily, and with special education pricing and free delivery.

For the 2019-2020 school year, all students in Grades 6-8 must be equipped with their own iPad, and all students in Grades 9-12 must be equipped with either their own iPad or an Apple laptop. Although St. Johns doesn't require a specific iPad or laptop, we recommend the iPad 6th Generation and/or the MacBook Air due to the cost value.

Every new student and any student with a new device will need to schedule a time to meet with St. Johns' Director of Technology Anne Gorman to set up their device prior to the start of school. Click here to schedule a time for your device setup appointment.

Learn more about St. Johns' technology service and requirements on your Division My School App pages:
