Campus Update for Tuesday, December 8, 2020

Good afternoon, here are this week's news and announcements from St. Johns Country Day School:

Giving Tuesday: Thank You!

St. Johns is deeply grateful for the support and generosity from so many of you on #GivingTuesday. Together, we raised $10,236 for the St. Johns Fund! Every dollar allows us to meet the challenges and opportunities of today, and be equipped for those of tomorrow. Thank you for your commitment to the difference we make in our classrooms, studios, and playing fields every day for our students!

Guided Tour Event December 14

Do you know someone who might be interested in the St. Johns Experience for their child? Invite them to come to our guided tour event on Monday, December 14, from 4:00-6:00 p.m. They'll learn all about our challenging academics, vibrant visual and performing arts, and championship athletics, along with our innovative technology and Upper School Fellowships programs. Space is limited - encourage them click over to to reserve their spots today!

Year-End Calendar

The full end-of-semester calendar appears to the right, but please note that Thursday, December 17 is the last day of school for students. It is a half day with student release at 12:00 p.m. and is Special Occasion Dress. Students will view the livestream of the Lessons & Carols presentation at 11:00 a.m. and dismissal will follow.

Students have been reminded, but so that you can follow up at home as well, please encourage your students to clean out their lockers/cubbies prior to Thursday, December 17. We heartily encourage them to clean out any food items, trash, unneeded supplies, etc., before the Winter Break.

Mask Reminders

Parents, please be reminded to ensure that your child comes to school each day with a clean mask to wear. It's a good idea also to stash a spare (or two!) in their backpacks, just in case. Particularly with our younger Spartans, the need for a fresh mask can arise throughout the day!
