Celebrate Resilience & Fortitude with #GreatDaySJ!
On May 13, St. Johns will celebrate its 4th annual Day of Giving, #GreatDaySJ. Our Day of Giving goal is 168 gifts - one for every day that our doors have remained open during this most unusual school year. Despite the challenges we've faced, our students, our faculty, and our families have demonstrated resilience and fortitude each and every day, and still managed to instill some learning and fun along the way. Please join us in celebrating this #GreatDaySJ and make a gift on May 13 at sjcds.net/greatday!
COVID-19 Reminders & Vaccines
Once they have been vaccinated, students, faculty, and staff no longer need to complete the daily Magnus health check. Once your child has been vaccinated, just reach out to School Nurse Michele Adams-Lentz at email@example.com to have them removed from the Magnus system.
My School App Password Updates
St. Johns' student information management system, My School App, has conducted some security updates that have changed its password requirements. As a result, beginning today, the system will require you to update your password at least once a year. If you haven't updated your password in the past 365 days, you will be asked to update it the next time you log in. Additionally, My School App is implementing protocols that will not allow you to use a password that is the same as any of your previous six passwords. Please contact Director of Technology Anne Gorman at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any difficulties or questions.
Would you like to commemorate the people and events in your lives while also supporting the library? Honor your student’s birthday or celebrate your student’s senior year by making a donation of $25 or more to the Heinrich Learning Resource Center. Your donation will add a book to our collection and a bookplate will be placed inside the book to commemorate the occasion. We look forward to your participation! Visit the Heinrich Learning Resource Center on the Topics page of your division's My School App page for the order form.

Choose one, the other, or both courses to maximize your driving qualifications! Space is limited, so visit sjcds.net/summer today to register.
Yellowstone Wildlife Ecology
Last week, Dr. Román announced an exciting student summer Yellowstone Wildlife Ecology trip coming June 2022 for all Upper School students. In this amazing summer program, St. Johns students will partner with the National Park Service on ongoing research projects. You’ll spend the week in and around Yellowstone National Park, where park scientists will work with you on habitat restoration and bison grazing projects. You’ll observe the park’s famous Lamar Valley wolf packs and fantastic thermal features, and on your last day, you’ll take a celebratory rafting trip on the Yellowstone River! For more information, please download the program brochure here, and do check out the COVID protocols, cancellation policy, and more on the travel company's website, here. Space is limited, so if this amazing adventure sounds intriguing, please reach out to Dr. Román for more information.
