Good afternoon! Here are this week's news and announcements from St. Johns Country Day School:
Supply lists for Lower and Middle School are now available in in the Topics section of each division's Group in My School App. Except for art courses, Upper School students do not have predetermined supply lists and are asked to come to the first days of classes with paper, pens, earbuds, etc. Upper School students will be notified by the instructor of each class whether any additional supplies will be required. Parents of Middle and Upper School students are encouraged to also check out their division's Technology Requirements, which are also available in My School App. Please reach out to your homeroom teacher (for Lower School) or Division Assistant with any questions. Middle and Upper School art students, you can get your art kits here.
We've all heard that reading over the summer helps students retain knowledge and skills they gained over the previous year—not to mention, it's just plain fun! Summer reading lists for students in all three divisions are now available on their respective My School App Topics pages. To get there, after you log in to My School App, click on Groups to select your student's division. Then choose "Topics" and scroll down to Summer Reading. And, enjoy!
Practicing math over the summer helps keep skills sharp and prepares students for the upcoming school year. Math Department Chair Denise Fountain has reached out to students and parents from Grade 3 through Algebra 1 with their summer math assignments. Students entering geometry, algebra 2, precalculus, or calculus can find their summer math work on the Upper School My School App Topics page. There is no assigned summer math for students below rising Grade 3. If you have any questions, please reach out to Mrs. Fountain at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Subscribe to St. Johns' Calendar
It's been a tough year to stay on top of what's going on, with events and dates changing so frequently due to COVID-19. Simplify your life by subscribing to the School's calendars on your phone. Then you'll have everything you need all in one place, and it'll automatically update for you if there are any changes. To subscribe, just visit sjcds.net/calendar and select the gray RSS button above the monthly view. Then, for each calendar you want, just hover over the green iCal button to select the format you need and install. It's that easy! Not sure which one to pick? We recommend the "Master" calendar, to stay on top of everything that's happening.
Some things never change— no matter the circumstances, St. Johns staff stand ready to assist with anything you might need. Please feel free to reach out at any time to:

We hope you have a great week!
