Campus Update for Tuesday, October 26

Good afternoon, here are this week's news and announcements from St. Johns Country Day School:

Thank You!

Thank you to everyone who came out Friday for the first ever Spartan Fest! From the dunk tank to the carnival games to the food trucks and more, the night was full of good times, laughter, community, and school spirit! The event would not have been possible without the many parent volunteers who worked behind the scenes to make it such a success. We can’t wait to make this a new tradition at St. Johns!

In The News: High School Basketball Media Day

High School Basketball Media Day took place last week at the Winston Family YMCA in Riverside, and players and coaches from across Northeast Florida attended in droves. St. Johns' Coach Yolanda Bronston, Mary Kate Kent '24, Taliah Scott '23, Coach Ian Gibson, and Andrew Hightower '23 were all on the scene, getting primed for another exciting roundball season.  Save the Date: A Wrinkle in Time

St. Johns Country Day School is proud to present A Wrinkle in Time by James Sie based on the award-winning novel by Madeleine L'Engle. In this transporting adventure, one of literature's most enduring young heroines, Meg Murry, is back—braces, stubbornness and all. Once again, she's joining forces with Mrs. Whatsit, Charles Wallace, Calvin O'Keefe, and more to battle the forces of evil so she can rescue her father, save humanity, and find herself. In the end, we know two things for sure: 1. Love CAN overcome evil and 2. There IS such a thing as a tesseract. Don't miss it November 5-6 in the Performing Arts Center (PAC). Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show starts at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are available at the door and are free for students and $5 for adults. Seating is first come, first served and masks are recommended but not required. We cannot wait to see you at the show!
