Campus Update for Tuesday, November 15

Campus Update for Tuesday, November 15

Good afternoon! Can you believe we are almost to Thanksgiving Break? We are not slowing our momentum one bit in the homestretch, as the calendar to the right indicates. And meanwhile, here are this week's news and announcements from St. Johns Country Day School:

Book Fair: Thank You!

Thank you to everyone who shopped, volunteered, or otherwise supported the Book Fair last week! It was a rousing success, and while the official numbers are still pending, with your help we raised more than $2,000 to fund new book purchases for the library and for our students. Out of the "All for Books" rounded up donations alone, the library has already acquired a stack of new books, which will go into circulation immediately. We couldn't have done it without you. Thank you!

Senior Presentation Friday

On Friday, St. Johns will be honored to present the Class of 2022 to the School community in what will be our 60th Senior Presentation. Just a reminder that all divisions have Special Occasion Dress Day for the assembly.

Support Our Food Drive

Lower School Student Council is sponsoring a food drive to benefit the Green Cove Springs Food Pantry. Please send in donations to your child's homeroom teacher or to the Reception Desk before tomorrow morning, November 17. Much-needed items include (in order of preference): canned meats (stew, chicken and dumplings, chicken, and tuna), canned fruit, canned vegetables, peanut butter, and beans/soup. Thank you for your support!

Pardon our Dirt, Garden Club at Work!

St. Johns' Garden Club is creating a new and improved butterfly garden and would appreciate donations of gently used shovels, hoes, rakes, a wheel barrow, etc. If you have items you could donate to a great cause, please reach out to Ms. Reynolds at annareynolds@sjcds.net

Mingle & Jingle with SJPA!

Bring your friends and celebrate the holidays with coffee, a light breakfast, and holiday cheer at our Mingle & Jingle on Wednesday, Dec. 1! Afterwards, Parent Association volunteers will be decorating the campus for the holidays, and we invite anyone to join. We hope to see you there!
