Campus Update for Tuesday, April 12

Good afternoon! Here are this week's news and announcements from St. Johns Country Day School:

College Acceptances

St. Johns was honored on Friday to announce college acceptances for one more member of the senior class. Hearty congratulations to Jojo Jones, who was accepted to Full Sail University. Way to go, Jojo! College Decision Day—the date by which seniors need to tell colleges which school they plan to attend—is coming May 1, so the college acceptance season is definitely winding down. Congratulations on all your many acceptances, seniors!

Sparty Hoopers

The next session of Sparty Hoopers—Girls Basketball for Grades K-5—is coming next week. St. Johns' award-winning coach, Yolanda Bronston, or "Coach Yo" will help your young ball player develop the skills they'll need to play competitive basketball. The next course starts today and runs Tuesdays and Thursdays through May 5. Don't miss it! These courses are tons of fun and great exercise for your Spartan. Sign up today at

Tee Off for Athletics!

Support St. Johns Athletics and join us for our 16th Annual St. Johns Spartans Golf Tournament, coming next Friday, April 22 to Eagle Harbor Golf Club. Presented by
St. Johns Investment Management Company, proceeds from the tournament will be designated to the St. Johns Country Day School Athletic Department to ensure all of our student-athletes have first-class facilities and resources. Whether you choose to promote your company by sponsoring this event, or just want to join us for a great day of golf, we appreciate your support! Click here to register or secure your sponsorship today!

ERB Testing Coming This Month

ERB Standardized Testing will take place April 26-29 for students in Grades 4-8. ERBs are used to measure the skills learned by students in that grade level. It is essential to understand that St. Johns uses these test results as a secondary gauge of a student's aptitude and to evaluate our overall curriculum. Learn more about the ERB and how St. Johns uses it right here

Celebrate Your Senior—With Books!

Graduation is just around the corner, and the Heinrich Learning Resource Center encourages you to commemorate your senior and their time at St. Johns by donating a book in their name to the Heinrich Learning Resource Center! Honoring their graduation, or another event, with a donation to our collection is a fabulous way to commemorate the people and events in your lives while also supporting the library. Simply make a tax deductible donation of $25 or more to the Heinrich Learning Resource Center and fill out this Commemorative Book Form. Allow your senior to choose a title from our collection of new books or request a specific title just for them. A bookplate will be placed in each donated book to commemorate the occasion. Your child's graduation—and your donated book—live on in our library collection! As always, thank you for your support!

Character Foundations: Hope

This month in Character Foundations, students in all divisions are learning about and putting into practice hope, which is defined as believing that something good can come out of something bad. Learn more about hope and how you can help support St. Johns' lessons at home at!
