Good afternoon! Just a reminder that re-enrollment for the 2024-2025 school year is now open. You should have already received a message from Director of Enrollment Management Kelly Risdon with a link to complete your student's re-enrollment. The deadline is February 28, 2024, to let us know if moving or other plans will prevent your family from being a part of our School community next year.

Spring Sports Meet the Spartans

Don't miss tonight's spring sports Meet the Spartans event! Director of Athletics John Sgromolo will be introducing each team and the athletes in St. Johns' spring sports lineup. Come Meet the Spartans and stay for the 7:00 p.m. Boys Basketball District Tournament game!  We can't wait to see you there!


Spartans Return to NHSI in 2024

Speaking of spring sports, last week, USA Baseball revealed the 16-team field for the 2024 National High School Invitational (NHSI), including your St. Johns Spartans. The Spartans will travel to the elite tournament in Cary, NC, April 10-13, 2024. You can read more about it right here. 


Congratulations, Seniors!

On Friday, St. Johns was thrilled to announce college acceptances for Collin Briggs (Middle Georgia State University), Harry Brown (University of Colorado Boulder, University of Minnesota), Gianna Lentini (University of Miami, Rollins College, University of Miami), Tristan Lentz (Florida Atlantic University Wilkes Honors College), Ava Morin (University of Miami), Connor O'Steen (Jacksonville University, Florida Atlantic University), Ben Payton (North Carolina State University, University of Miami, Furman University), Sarah Robinson (University of South Florida, Furman University), Ashlyn Rose (Furman University), Mckenna Sachs (University of Miami), Avery Schultz (Palm Beach Atlantic University, University of South Florida), Gigi Sessions (Furman University), and Jack Walker (Syracuse University).


Middle School Students of the Month

Congratulations to the Middle School Students of the Month for January: 

  • Grade 6- Brayden Vogt
  • Grade 7- Lily Day
  • Grade 8- Emma Smith and Victoria Martin

These students were recognized by Middle School faculty as having gone above and beyond to include others in the School’s mission and standing out as valuable members of the Middle School community. Congratulations, Brayden, Lily, Emma, and Victoria!

The St. Johns Parent Association (SJPA) invites you to its next quarterly meeting tomorrow from 8:15-9:15 a.m. Come for flag raising and stay for the meeting to learn more about upcoming events and how to get involved! Spartan parents, guardians, and community members are all invited. You can join the meeting in person in the Pace Lecture Hall or virtually at sjcds.net/sjpa. It's not too late to sign up to volunteer for remaining activities by filling out our SJPA Volunteer Form. We look forward to seeing you there!


Spartan Athlete of the Week

Congratulations to last week’s Nichols & Pina Spartan Athlete of the Week, Sydney Schmidt from St. Johns Womens Soccer! She scored 3 goals in the Spartans 8-0 district semifinal victory vs. St. Joseph on Tuesday night and has been the leading goal scorer for the Spartans this season. Congrats, Sydney!

Prep Schools College Fair Coming Next Month!

Mark your calendars now and save the date for the Jacksonville Preparatory Schools College Fair, coming on Thursday, February 22, 2024 to the University of North Florida University Center (12000 Alumni Drive, Jacksonville, Florida 32224).

  • The Fair is free and open to all St. Johns students, and we highly recommend it to our current sophomores and juniors.
  • Students planning to attend the college fair should register here. Once registered, you will receive a bar code, which will be used for your correspondence with attending college representatives. (They'll resend it to you two hours before the Fair starts.)  
  • Remember to register using the email address where your student wishes to receive correspondence from college representatives.
  • More than 70 colleges and universities from across the U.S. are currently registered to attend, with more coming.
