Campus Update for Tuesday, March 26

Good afternoon! Here are this week's news and announcements from St. Johns Country Day School:

Kent Awarded Commemorative Ball

Last week at flag raising, St. Johns was thrilled to celebrate Senior Mary Kate Kent, who this year hit 2,000 points in her Spartan basketball career. Director of Athletics John Sgromolo presented Mary Kate with a 2,000 point commemorative basketball. This season, Mary Kate averaged an impressive 23 points and 6 assists per game and has made over 350 three pointers over the course of her basketball career.  Congratulations, Mary Kate!

Athlete of the Week Hunter Rodgers '26

Congratulations to this week's Nichols & Pina Spartan Athlete of the Week, Hunter Rodgers '26 from Spartan Baseball! Hunter had an outstanding game in the Spartans' 6-3 victory over the Buchholz Bobcats on Wednesday night. Hunter went 2 for 3 with two home runs and three runs batted in! He also threw out a baserunner from behind the plate. Congratulations Hunter!

Grandparent Connections

St. Johns will soon be starting a new newsletter, just for our Spartan Grandparents who want to learn about events like Grandparents Day and stay connected to the School. Help us (and them!) by adding them to your contacts in Veracross.  To do that, go to your Parent Portal at and select Update Household Profile. Scroll down just a bit and click on "Grandparent Households" and select "Add New."  Already have Grandparents in your profile? Just make sure we have their latest email address, and they're good to go!

Report Cards

Quarter 3 report cards will be viewable in your Veracross Parent Portal beginning tomorrow morning, Wednesday, March 27.
