Fall Portraits
Fall portraits are this week! Portraits for students in Grades 6-11 will be in the morning on Thursday, August 22, and all Lower School portraits will be in the morning on Friday, August 23. Click here to download the Middle/Upper School order form, and here for the Lower School form.
Please note that all students should be in proper uniform attire without sweatshirts, etc., in the portraits. Paper order forms must be turned in to the school/ photographer before noon on Friday, August 23. After that, all orders will need to be placed online at Leonards.com/photoprepay with Access Code C654866.
Parent Open House
Please join us for our divisional Open House events, this week and next. Meet your child's teachers, see their classrooms, and learn more about each division. Join us!
- Lower School: Wednesday, August 21, 6-7 p.m.
- Middle School: Thursday, August 22, 6-8 p.m.
- Upper School: Wednesday, August 28, 6-7 p.m.
Welcome, Mr. Erickson!
St. Johns is proud to welcome math teacher Mr. Jordan Erickson to our Middle School faculty. Mr. Erickson taught for 13 years in the Collier County Public Schools before coming to St. Johns. You can read more about him right here. Welcome to St. Johns, Mr. Erickson!
Visitor Pre-Check
Anyone who's waited in line to check in for Grandparents Day or another event knows that the lines can take some time. To help cut down on that, this year St. Johns is implementing a new visitor security pre-check process. With Visitor Pre-Check, you can stop by the Reception Desk any time, have your driving license scanned in at your convenience, and then the process for event check-in is fast, simple stop, and no driving license required. Lower School parents may wish to stop by Reception in advance to get set up in advance of the Town Hall coming up in two weeks. Parents who are not registered in Pre-Check will need to check in with their driving license at the Performing Arts Center.
Parent Association Meeting Sept. 3
Please join us for our first St. Johns Parent Association Meeting, Tuesday, September 3 at 8:30 a.m. in the Pace Lecture Hall. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend!
Uniform Questions
We understand that recently Lands End has been out of stock on some uniform items and that families are having difficulty getting the uniforms they need for their Spartans. If this sounds like you, please reach out to Spirit Store Manager Heather Graham. We have some uniform attire in stock in the Spirit Store, and Mrs. Graham will be able to answer questions and help you find solutions.

In case you missed it, yesterday St. Johns posted news about Spartan U, the Middle School's Grade 6 orientation and acclimatization program. You can read about it at sjcds.net/news.
Lunch Reminder
Parents, please be reminded that outside food deliveries to students are not permitted during the School day. Parents or students should not order food for delivery to the School. Students may bring their lunch each day, or lunch service is provided by SLA Lunch. View menus and set up an account through SLA's online payment portal. Once you've created an account, click on the yellow "Student Payment Portal" button on the right to set up or add money to your student's lunch account. Cash payments are also accepted.
College Representative Visits
It's about that time again, when representatives fromcolleges and universities from across the country (and around the globe!) come to St. Johns to tell us about their schools, visit with our students, and get to know St. Johns. Upper School students are welcome at these visits and juniors and seniors are encouraged to attend. Students must be registered to attend, and be sure to keep an eye on SCOIR for the schedules, as they do change frequently. Direct any questions to your college counselor.
Carpool Info
Carpool can get a little crazy, with so many dropoffs and pickups happening all at once. To help us keep things moving, please reference the map above and information below:
Lower School:
- Please refer to Mr. Wirth's August 9 email for detailed AM guidance.
- Afternoon carpool begins at 3:05 p.m.
- Upon entering campus, please take either the first or second driveway on the right. The two merge in front of the new Science Center.
- As you approach pickup, move forward as directed by faculty/staff.Do not get out of your vehicle. Your student will be brought to you and someone will assist them with doors, backpacks, etc.
Middle & Upper School:
- Afternoon carpool begins at 3:15 p.m.
- After picking up, please exit the School via the back gate onto Moody Avenue and do not attempt to come back down Spartan Drive to Doctors Lake Drive.
Extended Day
Can't get to School in time to pick up your child at 3:15 p.m.? Have an early start to your day? No worries! St. Johns is pleased to offer Extended Day before and after school care for Lower and Middle School students. Get more info, hours, pricing, and register today right here!
Spirit Store
The Spirit Store is open 7:45 a.m.-3:45 p.m. on days when School is in session and is your one-stop source for great Spartan spirit attire, gear, and gifts.
