Good afternoon! Here are this week's news and announcements from St. Johns Country Day School:
Lower School Town Meeting Friday
Parents, don't miss this week's Lower School Town Meeting, coming this Friday, October 18, at 2:00 p.m. to the Performing Arts Center. Lower School Town Meeting is a celebration of what students learn in their classrooms and a showcase of our Caring School Community. Can't be there in person? Catch all the action at sjcds.net/live.
Join Us for Mr. St. Johns!
Join us on Saturday, October 19 for Mr. St. Johns, a fun, lighthearted "pageant" competition for the title (and bragging rights). It all kicks off at 7:00 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center. Tickets are $5 at the door or buy yours in advance with cash, credit card, or venmo @sjcds (remember to include your name and "Mr. St. Johns" in what it's for). Proceeds go to support Feeding Northeast Florida. We can't wait to see you there!
Halloween Band Concert
Please join us on Wednesday, October 30 at 2:25 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center for a Halloween Concert featuring Middle School Band! It'll be a spooktacular good time!
Lock in Your Support!
Thanks to your generosity and the collective efforts of our community, we successfully reached our fundraising goals last year, launching the Bare Family Wellness Center and Middle School Green Space on Founders Day. The 2023-2024 St. Johns Fund enjoyed over 300 more participants than the previous year, and the energy and enthusiasm at our events were truly inspiring. We are deeply grateful to everyone who participated!
Each member of St. Johns' Board of Trustees, faculty, and staff has shown their support with a donation to the 2024-2025 St. Johns Fund, and now it's time to Lock in Your Support. This year's campaign focuses on campus safety and on modernizing our Performing Arts Center. We can't do it without you, so Lock in Your Support today!
Art Guild of Orange Park Show
From now through the end of the year the Art Guild of Orange Park will be exhibiting its fall art show in St. Johns' Nichols Family Art Gallery. The show is open during regular School hours (just check in with Reception to gain access to the Gallery) or during Performing Arts Center Events. A portion of the proceeds of sales from this show go to support St. Johns. Please stop by to see and support local art and artists!
