Baez Earns College Board Honors

St. Johns Country Day School was proud to announce last week that Senior Xavier Baez has earned academic honors from the College Board Hispanic National Recognition Program. Baez was named a National Hispanic Scholar and a National First-Generation scholar. Congratulations, Xavier! You can read more about it right here. 


Middle School Students of the Month

Last week, St. Johns was honored to announce our Middle School Students of the Month for the month of October. These are (L-R) Beau Braddock (Grade 7), Samiyah Brown (Grade 8), and TJ Richter (Grade 6). 

These students have been recognized by Middle School faculty for going above and beyond to include others in the School’s mission and standing out as valuable members of the Middle School community. Congratulations, students!


Softball Players & Parents Meeting Tomorrow

There will be an informational meeting for softball players and parents tomorrowWednesday, November 13 at 6pm in the Pace Lecture Hall. All players interested in softball for the upcoming season and their parents should plan to join us!

Help Us with the Thanksgiving Feast

St. Johns' annual Thanksgiving Feast for students, faculty, and staff will be on Thursday, November 21! Our School and the Board of Trustees are delighted to provide the meal, but we’d love your help to make the event extra special. If you can lend a hand with setup, serving, cleanup, or by bringing a dessert to share—such as pumpkin pie or cookies—please sign up using this linkThank you for helping us create a wonderful celebration! Please note that SLA food services will be closed, so please plan ahead.


Food Drive: Please Donate

Lower School Student Council is hosting its 35th annual food drive to benefit Food Pantry of Green Cove Springs. All families are encouraged to please donate much-needed items including peanut butter, canned meat, canned vegetables, and canned soup. Donations are being accepted at the Reception Desk or in your child's Lower School homeroom. Canned food will be picked up on ThursdayNovember 21 at 9:00 a.m.


V for Victory Toy Drive

Lower School Student Council is also hosting a toy drive to benefit V for VictoryPlease donate an unwrapped toy (valued at $25 or less). This charity provides resources and services at no cost to local families and individuals who are battling cancer. Please help us put some joy on childrens' faces this holiday season by contributing to the toy drive! Donations can be delivered to your child's homeroom or to the Reception desk no later than Thursday, December 5. Thank you!

Mark your calendars for an unforgettable experience: An Evening in Paris, a festive fundraising event benefiting St. Johns Country Day School! Join us on Saturday, January 25, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the beautiful Club Continental. The night will be filled with fun, food, live music, fantastic company, games to win prizes, and a live and silent auction—all while supporting exciting projects that will enhance our school communityGet your tickets today and we hope to see you there!
