MAMMA MIA! at St. Johns
On Friday, St. Johns' Performing Arts Department was honored to host Nico DePrimio, a member of the Touring Broadway cast of MAMMA MIA. Nico shared some of his life history as a working Broadway performer and taught students the choreography to "Dancing Queen." This student experience was made possible through St. Johns' ongoing collaboration with the Jacksonville Center for the Performing Arts Broadway Series.
New Traffic Pattern for 2025
Parents are reminded of the new traffic patterns and parking designations for 2025. Effective with our return to school yesterday, during AM and PM carpool hours, after the three-way stop at Heinrich Way and Spartan Drive, Spartan Drive becomes a one-way road all the way to the back gate. Lower School pickup and drop off will remain unchanged, but if you continue onto campus beyond the three-way stop at Heinrich Loop, you will need to proceed down Spartan Drive and out the back gate to Moody Avenue. New crosswalks have been installed to facilitate Middle and Upper School departure, and parking areas have been designated to allow better access for student pickup. This new traffic pattern will be in effect during morning drop off (7:30 a.m. - 8:00 a.m.) and afternoon pickup (3:05 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.). Thank you for helping us keep our Spartans safe and ease congestion throughout campus!
Middle/Upper School Parent Coffee
Middle and Upper School parents, please join us tomorrow morning in the Pace Lecture Hall for a parent coffee. We'll be talking about executive functioning skills—what they are, why they're important for students this age, and what parents can do facilitate their development. Please join us!
Lower School Student-Led Conferences
On Friday, January 17, Lower School will host Student-Led Conferences. You will not want to miss this check-in with your student as they give you their assessment of their year to date. Lower School classes will not be in session on this date, but Middle and Upper School will have classes as usual. Parents, you can sign up for your conference time in your Veracross Parent Portal at sjcds.net/veracross.
Jacksonville Prep School College Fair
All Upper School students are invited to attend this year's Jacksonville Preparatory School College Fair:
Date: Thursday, February 20, 2025
Time: 5:00-7:00 p.m.
Place: UNF University Center, 12000 Alumni Drive, Jacksonville, FL 32224
Students attending the Fair are encouraged to register in advance. After they register, students will receive a bar code that will make it easier to share their information with colleges at the Fair.
