Spartan Soccer Takes IMSC Championship

The St. Johns Country Day School Middle School Girls Soccer Team earned an incredible victory over the Providence School of Jacksonville Stallions in the Independent Middle School Conference (IMSC) Final last Thursday night, capturing the School’s first IMSC Championship in nearly a decade. Providence entered the match as the two-time reigning IMSC champion.

After trailing 1-0, the Spartans equalized with a second-half goal by Ava Lerche ’29, sending the game into penalty kicks. The Spartans sealed the win with a 3-1 advantage in penalties, thanks to goals by Lerche, Adisenne Taylor ’29, and Jema Snow. Goalkeeper Brynley Proffitt ’29 and the Spartan defensive line made an impressive 14 saves during the game.
