For more than 30 years, the After School program has offered before and after school care for Lower School students, based out of St. Johns' Lower School building.
The program is open from 7:00 a.m. - 8:00 a.m. for early drop off and after school from 1:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. On Parent/Teacher Conference days and Teacher Planning Days the after school Program is open from 7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Rates can be found in the After School Program Registration Packet.
Pre-K3 and Pre-K4 students enrolled in the After School Program after 1:00 p.m. will either nap or play quietly. Those who nap will need a towel or blanket and may bring a favorite stuffed animal. Students who leave during the 3:15 p.m. dismissal are escorted to a carpool room for parent pick-up. Students staying beyond 3:15 p.m. should have a change of clothes available in the After School Program room in case of emergencies.
The following illustrates a typical day for the After School Program. The schedule may vary slightly to accommodate the size of the program and the grade level of students.
• attendance, restroom, snack
• physical activity
• homework, reading and math activities
• enriching educational activity (formerly available only as a part of the Beyond the Bell program)
