St. Johns' STEAM program takes the more common “STEM” focus (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) and adds in the arts through components of creativity and innovation. This STEAM-based curriculum helps students see and understand the connections in the world around them, building critical pathways in their brains and setting them up for success as they move through their school and college experience. Across the St. Johns curriculum, and particularly in Lower School, the STEAM program works to develop your student’s ability to analyze a problem, synthesize ideas, innovate, collaborate, and communicate—essential skills for 21st century learners!
