The admissions process includes the completion of a campus tour, an online application, and a school visit with an on-campus assessment for the applicant. We encourage families to allow sufficient time to schedule tours and assessments before decisions are made.

Choosing the right school is an important decision — and at St. Johns Country Day School, we’re here to make the process personal, welcoming, and easy to navigate. From your first inquiry to your first day on campus, our Admissions Team will guide you every step of the way.

New Families:
If you don’t yet have a username and password, please complete our online inquiry form to receive access to the Admission Portal.

Current Families:
Log in to the Admission Portal using your Veracross credentials and select Manage Candidate Application > Add a New Application to apply for an additional child.

Application Fee:
A non-refundable $50 application fee is due at the time of submission.

Every applicant will complete an assessment and a Spartan Shadow Day — a day to explore, connect, and experience life as a St. Johns student.

Applicants for Pre-K3 through Grade 5:

  • Spartan Shadow Day: Your child will spend time in the classroom and on campus to get a true feel for St. Johns.
  • Assessment: A brief, grade-level assessment will take place during the visit. To schedule your child’s visit, call 904-264-9572 x1119.

 

Applicants for Grades 6–12:

  • Students take the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE). Please contact the Office of Admissions to schedule your child’s ISEE on campus.  
  • The St. Johns test center code is 101275.
  • After test results are reviewed, the Admissions Team will schedule a Shadow Day with a student ambassador.

After submitting your application, the Admissions Team will request transcripts and/or grade reports from your child’s current school. You may also upload these directly in the Admission Portal.

Applications also require a completed teacher evaluation form, available within the portal.

Our average class size ranges from 12–15 students, allowing for personalized attention, meaningful discussion, and strong teacher-student relationships.

The school day begins at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 3:15 p.m., with extended day and enrichment programs available for busy families.

Yes. St. Johns accepts the Family Empowerment Scholarship – Educational Options and the Folds of Honor Scholarship, and also provides need-based financial aid.
