Why Support Us?

The Cost of Educating a Spartan

St. Johns relies on the generosity of our community to uphold its commitment to educational excellence. Since 1953, the School's trustees, parents, alumni, grandparents, faculty, and friends have contributed time and resources to build the campus and experience our students enjoy today.

Donations to the St. Johns Fund enable the School to maintain its high standards by supplementing tuition revenue to cover annual expenses. Tuition covers about 85% of the cost to educate a Spartan. The School raises the rest through fundraising events, grants, donations, sponsorships, and other initiatives. We do this in order to keep the cost of tuition as low as possible and put a St. Johns Education within reach of more families.

At St. Johns Country Day School, students seek solutions, accept responsibility, and create collaboration while preparing for success in college and beyond. Support from our community is a vital element of their success and the continuation of St. Johns' mission.

Why Give?

Gayle Fiser, Science Department Chair, Former Parent

"Giving to St. Johns for me personally, goes deeper than being a teacher at a school. I was first a parent at St. Johns. While a few decades ago, the tuition was more than half of our mortgage. I wondered how they could want more from us? But we did it. We did it to keep this beautiful facility progressing, to keep it attracting the highest academic achievers and moving forward so it could continue to be an option for families. We did it so that future generations might also create the wonderful memories that we did as a family. Education is dynamic and progress costs."
