Whether performing on stage, singing in harmony, or leading behind the scenes, students learn to express themselves with purpose and poise.

Our performing arts program combines professional instruction with a spirit of exploration. Under the guidance of experienced educators and artists, students study music, theatre, and technical production in an environment that values both excellence and joy. Performances throughout the year bring our community together to celebrate the power of art to inspire, connect, and transform.

Lower School

Creativity begins early. In Lower School, students experience music and movement as a natural part of daily learning. They sing, play rhythm instruments, and perform in concerts and class productions that develop expression, coordination, and confidence. Starting in Grade 4, students choose between band or chorus to build upon skills developed in earlier grades.

Middle School

Middle School performers take the stage with growing independence. Through choir, band, and theatre, students learn the fundamentals of performance and collaboration. Opportunities include Middle School Concert Band and Middle School Choir, each designed to strengthen musical skills and build teamwork. Theatre students gain confidence through scene study, improvisation, and live performance.

Upper School

In Upper School, students refine their craft and explore advanced coursework across multiple disciplines. Programs include Symphonic and Honors Symphonic Band, St. Johns Singers, Honors Singers, Music Theory, and AP Music Theory. Theatre students study performance, directing, and technical production in state-of-the-art facilities, culminating in mainstage performances and special events in the 600-seat Performing Arts Center.

Our performing arts graduates go on to pursue creative careers and lifelong passions for the arts, equipped with the discipline, empathy, and leadership skills that come from performing with heart.
